A must-have habit for those in their 40s and older: "Shoulder blade release" conditioning to prevent golf fatigue from lingering the next morning

1. Say goodbye to the "work is tough the day after golf" mentality

Have you ever enjoyed a round of golf on the weekend and then woken up on Monday morning feeling like your shoulders and back were heavy and you couldn't concentrate on work?

Golf involves repeated rotational movements in the same direction, which can cause muscle imbalances more than you might think, leading to fatigue in specific areas. For business golfers who work in the Nakameguro area in particular, training and care to maintain performance could almost be considered good manners.

2. The true cause of fatigue is stiff shoulder blades

During the swing, the shoulder blades are supposed to move dynamically. However, when fatigue accumulates, the muscles around the shoulder blades become adhered, resulting in a condition known as "buried shoulder blades." This reduces blood flow and causes fatigue substances to stagnate.

If you neglect to take care of your shoulders after playing golf, your shoulder range of motion will remain restricted and stiff, which will lead to a decrease in your distance in your next round.

3. Perfect for after a bath! Self-care "shoulder blade peeling"

We will introduce some conditioning exercises that can be easily done at home, including those that are also used in professional settings.

Step 1: Shoulder rotation using a towel

Hold the ends of the towel slightly wider than shoulder width and, keeping your arms straight, pass it over your head and behind you.

Step 2: Pull your shoulder blades together

Squeeze your shoulder blades together and hold for 5 seconds. Then release the tension all at once.

This will return blood flow to the muscles that were overworked during training, making your body feel lighter the next morning.

4. Recovery Proposed by NoName Nakameguro

Our salon offers more than just massages; it also provides conditioning based on anatomy. Building a body that doesn't carry over fatigue into the next day is the key to enjoying golf for a long time.
