The "sway" that drifts to the right can be resolved by adjusting the range of motion. "Hip retraction" technique to maximize distance

1. The Big Misconception About Weight Transfer
"Sway" occurs when you try to put your weight on your right foot, causing your hips to shift to the right. This is a pitfall that many amateur golfers fall into.
Swaying not only causes your axis to shift, resulting in a duff or slice, but also causes the power that should be transferred to the ball at impact to escape to the right. Weight transfer does not mean "moving sideways." The correct answer is to **store power in your hip joints**.
2. The vessel for distance is created by "hip hinge"
When you look at the backswing of a professional golfer, you will see a deep crease at the base of the right foot (the V line). This is when the hip joint is properly "pulled in."
When you pull in your hips in this way, power is concentrated in the large muscles in your buttocks (gluteus maximus). However, modern people spend long periods of time sitting in chairs, and this sense of "folding the hip joints" has become dull. If the range of motion of the hip joints is limited, the pelvis cannot be folded and can only "sway to the side."
3. Hip Hinge Workout: All You Need Is a Chair
To help you regain this feeling, here are some easy exercises you can do at home or in the office.
Step 1: Sit shallowly in a chair with your feet shoulder-width apart and your back straight.
Step 2: Place your fingers at the base of your foot Place your index finger horizontally at the base of your foot (V line).
Step 3: Bow as if pinching your fingers together. Without curving your back, lean your upper body forward, imagining that you are pinching your fingers together with your hip joints. You've done it right if you feel a stretch in your buttocks.
This "feeling of being pinched" is the state in which power is building up during the swing.
4. A common "truth" in sports other than golf
I also support athletes in basketball, rugby, tennis, and other sports, and in any sport, this hip retraction is always necessary at the moment of "changing direction" or "generating power."
Instead of focusing solely on golf, incorporate the powerful movements seen in other sports into your swing. To do this, you must first properly align your hip joints, the "power vessels," to ensure proper use, which is the quickest route to increasing your driving distance.
5. Summary
It is not enough to just be conscious of correcting your sway. The first priority is to physically create a body that can "fold its hip joints."
At No Name Nakameguro, we use anatomical training to awaken your potential for greater distance. If you're worried that your shot is always drifting to the right, come and have your hip movement checked.
